Doily Dish Cloth

Happy Thursday everyone!  Everyone getting excited for the weekend?  I certainly am.  I've got a lot planned for the weekend, and I just hope I can get it all done before it's over.  Here is another crocheted dish cloth.  A little different than most of them, fancier...I guess.  They don't take too long to work up, but more for an intermediate crocheter than a beginner.  But another great gift to have on hand.

Materials needed:

1 ball cotton thread--your choice of color.  (I used Lily Sugar'n Cream in Sonoma Print)
Hook: Size 7

Ch 6. Join with sl st to form ring.

1st rnd: Ch 3 (counts as dc). 13 dc in ring.  Join with sl st to top of ch 3. 14 dc. 

2nd rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in same sp as sl st. *Ch 4. Miss next dc. 1 sc in next dc. Rep from * 5 times more. Ch 4. Join with sl st to first sc.

3rd rnd: Sl st in next ch-4 sp. Ch 3 (counts as dc). 5 dc in same sp as last sl st. (6 dc in next ch-4 sp) 6 times. Join with sl st to top of ch 3.

4th rnd: Sl st in each of next 2 dc. *Ch 1. 1 sc between 3rd and 4th dc of 6 dc group. Ch 1. Miss next 3 dc (1 dc. Ch 2. 1 dc) in sp between 6 dc groups. Miss next 3 dc. Rep from * 6 times more. Ch 1. Join with sl st to first sc.

5th rnd: Ch 3 (counts as dc). 5 dc in same sp as last sl st. *Ch 2. 1 sc in next ch-2 sp.  Ch 2 6 dc in next sc.  Rep from *5 times more.  Ch 2. 1 sc in next ch-2 sp. Ch 2. Join with sl st to top of ch 3.

6th rnd: Sl st in each of first 2 dc. Ch 1. *1 in next dc. Ch 2 (1 dc. Ch 3. 1 dc) in next sc. Ch 2. Miss next 3 dc. Rep from *6 times more. Join with sl st to first sc.

7th rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in same sp as last sl st. *Ch 2. 6 dc in next ch-3 sp. Ch 2, 1 sc in next sc. Rep from *6 times more, omitting last sc. Join with sl.st to first sc.

8th rnd: Ch 3 (counts as dc). 5 dc in same sp as last sl st. *Ch 2. Miss next 2 dc. 1 sc in each of next 3 dc. Ch 2**6 dc in next sc. Rep from * 5 more times, then from ** once. Join with sl st to top of ch 3.

9th rnd: Ch 2. 1 hdc in same sp as last sl st.  *1 sc in next dc. Sl st in each of next 2 dc. 1 sc in next dc. 1 hdc in next dc. (1 hdc, 1 dc) in next ch-2 sp. 1 dc in each of next 3 sc. (1 dc, 1 hdc) in next ch-2 sp. 1 hdc in next dc. Rep from * 6 more times, omitting last hdc.  Join with sl st to first hdc.

10th rnd: ch 3 (counts as dc). 1 dc in each st around. Join with st sl to top of ch 3. 91 dc.

11th rnd: ch 1. 1 sc in same sp as last sl st. 1 sc in next dc. *Ch 1. Miss next 2 dc. 6 dc in next dc. Ch 1. Miss next 2 dc. 1 sc in each of 2 dc. Rep from * 12 more times, omitting last 2 sc. Join with sl st to first sc.

12th rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in each st or ch-1 sp around. Join with sl st to first sc.  Fasten off.
