Twelve Days of Christmas Cookies
DAY 5: Rolo-stuffed SnickerDoodles
One simple little change and this traditional cookie that everyone is familiar with, is transformed into a whole new class. With very little effort you now have a gourmet cookie to add to your cookie plate. And trust me the person receiving these cookies will be in for a delectable surprise.
INGREDIENTS
1 batch store-bought or homemade snickerdoodle dough (I didn't include the recipe for Snickerdoodles, since everyone is familiar with this cookie and most likely has their own recipe.)
32 rolo candies
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Using a cookie scoop, scoop some dough and push the Rolo candy into the center. Be sure to fold the dough over to cover the candy on the bottom before popping it out of the scoop. If you don't have a cookie scoop, flatten 1 tablespoon dough and wrap around Rolo candy. Roll into ball and set on cookie sheet.
Bake for 14 minutes. Makes 32 cookies. And they are delicious!
