12 Days of Christmas Cookies--Black and White Dipped Chocolate Chip Cookies



Day 11--Black and White Dipped Chocolate Chip cookies.  This extra little step makes your favortie chocolate chip cookie extra special.

Mix up your favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe, (I have included our favorite at the bottom of this post), and bake.


Melt some white chocolate and once the cookies are cooled dip one end and lay out on parchment paper to dry.


Then melt some milk chocolate, turn the cookie and dip the other side.  Lay out on parchment paper and allow to dry completely.  Enjoy!


Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe

1 cup butter flavored shortening
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons Mexican vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups milk chocolate chips
 
Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter flavored shortening, brown sugar and white sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well with each addition, then stir in the vanilla .Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; gradually stir into the creamed mixture. Finally, fold in the chocolate chips. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheets.
  3. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, until light brown. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

  2. These Black & White Dipped Chocolate Chip Cookies look so good... I would fix these anytime in the year... not just Christmas. I'm definitely going to try out the recipe. I'm sure they will be hit with my family.

    1. Yes, they are good for any time of year. But work great for a cookie box to give to a neighbor or friend, etc. at Christmas. :)
