On Saturday morning, I fixed my husband pancakes for breakfast. This is one of his favorite breakfast foods. This recipe is simple, delicious and goes with a basic pat of butter and some syrup to your favorite more indulgent toppings--whatever they may be.
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 cup flour
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon white sugar
1 1/4 cup milk
1 egg
3 Tablespoons melted butter
DIRECTIONS
1. In a large bowl, sift the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar together.
2. Make a well in the center. Pour in the milk, egg and melted butter.
3. Mix until just moistened. Don't over mix, a few small lumps are fine.
4. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Scoop the batter onto the griddle.
5. Brown on both sides.
6. Serve hot with your desired toppings.
