I love all the inspirational projects you can find on the internet. Some time ago, while exploring a blog I discovered through Pinterest (my favorite site!) I came across a cute little snowman project made from a vintage salt shaker. So when my daughter-in-law came over for our craft day, we decided to make our own version of the snowmen, (although we definitely aren't trying to rush the winter season!) we couldn't resist these cute little snowmen.
Materials needed
Styrofoam ball
Salt shaker
Decorative sand
Pellets
Scrapbook paper
Ribbon
Embellishments
1. Brush styrofoam ball with glue and then roll in the decorative sand. Since my salt shakers are clear, I used white pellets to fill the shaker bottles to give it a more snow-like appearance. You could also use the sand, but the pellets are like round little snowballs.
2. Fill the salt shaker with pellets and glue the head onto the shaker bottle.
5. And last, add the hat. Mini Pom-poms and a pipe cleaner make great earmuffs, or you can use the shaker lid along with some embellishments for a cute hat.
Your hat turned out super cute.
